Request deletion in the app
Open Settings → Delete account & data, review both warnings, and submit the private request. Your account stays active while StarChat verifies and processes the request. You can track the request in Settings → Privacy & support → Data & privacy.
Request deletion without the app
Email support@starchatsocial.comfrom the email address connected to your StarChat account. Use the subjectStarChat account deletion request and state that you want your account and associated personal data permanently deleted. Never send a password, one-time code, payment card number, or government identity document by email.
Verification and timing
StarChat Support will acknowledge the request and may ask you to verify control of the account through an approved account channel. StarChat normally aims to complete a verified request within 30 days and will confirm when processing is complete. After completion, the deleted account and deleted data cannot be recovered.
What deletion covers
Completion deletes or irreversibly anonymises the account and associated personal data from active StarChat systems. Limited records may be retained only where reasonably required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, chargeback, tax, accounting, or other financial obligations. Retained records remain restricted and are not used to keep the account active.
Subscriptions
Account deletion does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel the subscription in the store that bills you to prevent future renewal.
